Description :

Only waiting list left!

In this year's summer hike we will go to the Kreuzeck and Schober Groups, which are in Carinthia (Kärnten) and East Tyrol. It is said to be a quieter area than some of the more well known areas we have visited in previous years, which probably means less people in the huts, but the huts will also be a bit more basic.

I have entered it as a T2/K2 trip, but there could be some days with T3 and/or K3, especially if we include optional extra peaks.

It is necessary to have good fitness, experience of and correct equipment for alpine hiking and a good head for heights. We will ask participants who we do not know yet, to join other hikes before the week long hike, to check suitability for this hike.

Note that in some huts we are staying in rooms, and in some huts the dormitories. Some huts may require that we take half pension. There is no possibility of special requests, regarding the type of accommodation. Participants must generally also join for the whole week.

The route:
Sa train Vienna-Mölltalbrück, then to Salzkofelhütte
Su Feldnerhütte
Mo Hugo Gerbershütte
