REISALPE – easy hike

Description:
From parking Ebenwaldhöhe (1020 m) along Hochstaff to Kleinzeller Hinteralm and
then to Reisalpe (1399 m) . The path is nothing special, but at the top (if the
weather is nice) we are rewarded with an excellent view to Waldviertel, Ötscher
and Totes Gebirge. Walking time one way abt. 2 hours, so totally abt. 4 hours.
There is a hut on Reisalpe where you can get food and drinks, small selection,
typical nice “hut dishes”.

Easy hike, 4 hours
Meeting point and ending point:
parking Ebenwaldhöhe, only to be reached by car
Meeting time: 10 a.m.
Ending time: between 3 and 4 pm
Public Transportation:
By car only
Driving Insructions:
either A1 to Altlengbach, passing Klammhöhe to Hainfeld, then to Rainfeld and Kleinzell
OR
A2 exit Brunn to A21, continue A21 until exit Alland, across Hafnerberg and Gerichtsberg to Hainfeld, from there Rainfeld and to Kleinzell
then for both variations in the centre of Kleinzell look for the sign “Ebenwaldhöhe” and follow the way until you reach the parking
(in the middle there is a way to a restaurant to the right, don’t use this, continue straight.
Total driving time abt. 1,5 hours
Recommended Equipment:
usual hiking equipment, good shoes, rain jacket, drink and snacks if you like
