Sledging on the Anninger in the Vienna Woods

Meeting point: train station Gumpoldskirchen 9.52 hours

Wien Südbahnhof (S-Bahn) Gumpoldskirchen:

departure 9:22, arrival 9:52

Please use public transport as most probably we will not return to the point of departure.

2 hours walk from Gumpoldskirchen (210 m) – Kalenderweg to Anninger Schutzhütte (650 m)

Anninger Schutzhütte is opened – lunch break (they cook warm dishes)

J then sledging down (if there is enough snow) the Forststraße direction Mödling – busstop Schillerstraße, there is a bus back to Wien Südbahnhof abt. every 15 minutes

This is an easy hike combined with sledging, suitable for children from 3 years on. If they are too tired walking up the parents can pull them on the sledge.

Equipment: winter cloth and shoes, sledge, (warm drink and snack for in between if you like).

In case there is not enough or no snow we can hike to the Anninger Schutzhütte and walk down again.
