If the weather has mercy to us it should be a pleasant day. We could walk
up Tausend-Eimer Berg at Spitz (only 200 m high or so) with a nice view down
at Danube river and Wachau. Break at noon we could spend at at Heurigen around
Spitz. Krems is a city with a lot of old (partly even medieval) houses, wonderfully
restored. Dürnstein is a lovely little village with a famous ruin just behind.
Not to mention other nice places in between. Bike trail is most of the time
off the main road.
Another option/alternative would be biking up Wachau and going back by ship
(transportation of bikes is possible).
