Description: Sparbach ― Austria’s first Nature Park was created with a donation from the Prince of Liechtenstein.
Starting at the entrance of the park, we will hike about 3 hours in the direction of Köhlerhausruine (541m). History and information in English is displayed on signs in the park . Most of our walk will be in forest.
After the hike we will visit the old town centre of Mödling with its Rathaus. A Coffee-house or Gelateria can be included. We will return by train to Vienna.
Length of activity, difficulty: 3 hours - easy - W1
Meeting point and ending point: Wien Mitte (Landstraße)
Meeting time: Wien Mitte (Landstraße) 9:45 in the hall at the ticket machines or at the Mödling bus stop shortly after the train arrives at 10:26 am.
Ending time: The bus at 15:44 back to Mödling. You can either go back to Vienna immediately or stay with us for eats and drinks. Trains from Mödling are very frequent in the evening.
Public Transportation:
Train from Wien Mitte to Mödling and then a bus to the park.
Driving Instructions: Have fun riding with us on the train and bus.
Car sharing: see above ― help save the environment.
Recommended Equipment:
Lugged-sole hiking shoes, raingear just in case. Lunch , drinks, snack.
Comments: Dogs are not allowed in this park.
