Description:
A beautiful hike beginning beside the Danube and proceeding to the top of Braunsberg at 350 meters where we will have a wonderful view of the National Park Donauauen.
We will walk over the Celtic Way visiting the Ruine Roethelstein. On the other side we will have a view of the biggest castle of Austria and the oldest castle of Slovakia. Hainburg besides the castle, has many old buildings of historical interest.

Meeting point and ending point:
Schnellbahn station Wien Mitte (Landstraße) – Platform 3, direction Wolfsthal.
Meeting time: 11:45 the train leaves at 11:56 and arrives in Hainburg at 13:02
Ending time: -- Trains back to Vienna: every hour xx:55. Last train at 20:55.

Recommended Equipment:
Mountain walking shoes or boots, rain jacket just in case, sunglasses, cap. A blanket or towel to sit on because we will spend some time in the grass. If you have a camera and/or field glasses you will enjoy the trip much more. There are many beautiful butterflies along the way. Drinks and snacks.
