Your choice of Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Hiking and Bathing in
the Ill River (for a thrill), Gemütlich Evenings around the Kachelofen.

Accommodations:
A 250-year-old Bauernhaus outside of the village of Bartholomäberg
We can house up to 10 other people in the Ferienhaus. Accomodations here are cheap but SOME RESTRICTIONS APPLY including:
1) House is not accessible without a car (i.e. you need a ride)
2) House is NOT accessible by car in the winter. A 15 minute hike is required.
3) A Maximum of 3 cars can be left in parking, ours plus 2 more, so team up!
4) There is one shower and one toilet
5) Sleeping accomodations range from the Himmelbett (our!) to sleeping bags, and everything in between

thru Friday Night, Feb 7th
We can arrange additional accommodations in a private home in Bartholomeberg if necessary, for a reasonable price. Advantages are:
1) More Capacity
2) Accessible by bus
3) Parking in front of the house
4) Bring as many cars as you like
5) More toilets, more showers
6) Everyone gets a real bed

Plenty of opportunity for hiking, sledding, cross-country skiing, etc.
Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding are offered at Silvretta Nova, Hochjoch and Golm ski areas.
A 3-day Montafon Ski Pass (all Montafon lifts) costs 90 Euros. Old guys like Jack can get one for 77 Euros.
A 1-day ticket for Golm costs 31 Euros (old guys 27)
Note: This week is Schulferien in Wien, but it is NOT Schulferien in Voralberg. Pistenmengen should not be a problem, but then again München could have Schulferien. No Guarantees here.

Saturday and Sunday may be crowded on the slopes, as any normal weekend might be. You may want to consider skiing during the week and other activities during the weekend. Plan with your car-group.
From the Bahnhof, the Ferienhouse is in one direction and the slopes are in another. If you want to ski when you arrive on Saturday, be ready to go straight from the Bahnhof to the slopes.
Equipment Needed:
Bring a towel and bedsheets. Winter fun gear of your choice (skis, snowboards, hiking boots, sleds, etc.). Sleeping bags may be needed by some. Schnaps always tastes better in the Montafon. Bathing suits are optional for the dip in the Ill River.
Getting There:
Meeting: Saturday 1/2/03 at 09:00 at Schruns Bahnhof
Car Connections:
Autobahn: West Autobahn thru Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, to Bludenz. Take exit
“Bludenz Ost – Montafon” and follow the road, B-188 about 15 minutes to Schruns.
Follow signs to Schruns Bahnhof.

This is an excellent option if drivers and passengers purchase tickets together and split the cost.
