Route:
Lurgbauer (ca. 800m) – Schneealpenhaus (1784m) – Rinnhoferhütte – Windberg (1903m) and back
Length of activity in hours/kilometers, elevation, grade of difficulty:
1100m elevation, 4 to 5 hours, W1/W2: light or more demanding, depending wether there is snow or not.
Meeting point:
Street to Schneealpe, Michelbauer (toll station): between Kapellen and Neuberg an der Mürz. There we decide depending if there is snow on the mountain which route we take.
Meeting time: 9.30 a.m.
Car Connections:
Wien – Semmering – Mürzzuschlag – Kapellen – Michelbauer: 120 km

Equipment needed:
Attention! Weather and temperature at the mountain can be winterly and all huts are closed! So bring along enough warm clothes and shoes suitable for hiking in winter, some food for lunch and hot drinks (in thermos flask). If higher up there is already much snow gaiters might me useful.
