Description: LLS (Schifahren/Langlauf; Cross country skiing) Lackenhof; with instruction

Description details:
A day of cross country skiing with an instructor (that's Willy, some of us already know from our cross country skiing day at Fadental, January 2000). Instructions and exercises in a funny way mixed with cross country skiing at nice mostly level trails (Loipen) beside Ötscher. Occasionally great views to mount Ötscher.
Fee for instruction full day: max. ATS 3.000,-- divided among participants.
So please register until the end of this week so that we know how many of you will take part and if the price for one person will be reasonable.

Starting and Ending Point:
Sports shop Intersport/Lengauer, 3295 Lackenhof am Ötscher, Niederösterreich

Meeting Time: 9.30 a.m.
Ending Time: ?? (for members using public transport, see timetable below)

Length of trip / kilometers, estimated time required:
Full day activity. Until late afternoon with at least one break at lunch time. Length of kilometers and duration depending on participants, snow conditions etc.

Car connections:
Wien - Ybbs (Westautobahn A1), then Bundesstraße B25 to Scheibbs, then Gaming. Appr. 6 km thereafter turn left for Lackenhof (Bundesstraße B71). Appr. 150 km. (see map below)

Train connections:
Possible, but the day will become rather short this way. An alternative only for people bringing along their own gear (time for renting, trying out etc. saved).

Wien Westbahnhof dep. 6.25 a.m., Kienberg-Gaming arr. 9.10 a.m. (train)
Kienberg-Gaming dep. 9.10 a.m., Lackenhof am Ötscher arr. 10.00 a.m.(bus)

Lackenhof dep. 4.10 p.m., Kienberg-Gaming arr. 5.00 p.m. (bus)

Equipment needed:
Gear for cross country skiing. It is possible to rent cross country skis at the sports shop in the morning (approx. ATS 150,--).
If you need equipment, please state your shoe size (especially extreme sizes) at least one week in advance since we want to make a reservation of skis and shoes.
