Route

Heiligenkreuz - Augustinehuette, to top and back to Baden.

Time needed

Approx 4-5 hours (incl. rest at Schutzhuette


Meeting time & point

Bus station at Baden 9:15, we will all start from there and plan the trip accordingly to who shows up.

All connections are accurate to the best of our knowledge, anyone considering attending this event should verify these connections for themselves

Car Connections:

Suedautobahn, exit at Baden. (need map)

Train Connections and/or Bus Connections:

Refer to www.vor.at for a timetable for the trains and "Schnell Bahns".

But.. the train leaves from Suedbahnhof at 8:40, and arrives at Baden at 9:05 Trains back to Vienna leave at :25 past the hour and :55 past the hour. there is also a Schnellbahn back to Vienna at :03 past the hour.

Equipment Needed:

Appropriate gear (mountain boots, backpack, snacks and 1l of water) are suggested.

Additional Remarks:

Please note that if we have over 8 people involved we will make reservations at the Schutzhuette, which is reported to be rather busy. The hut phone number is 022522/48640. That means we need you to contact Tim and be added to the list!!!

A description of the entire route would be: Baden-Helenental-Zoblhof-Hoher Lindkogel-Merkenstein-Bad Vöslau-Baden-Gumpoldskirchen-Thallern-Mödling. It was opened in 1982 and is marked red-white-red and also marked wiht the number 40.
