Type of hike:

W2, approx. 5 hrs walk, appr. 750m hightdifference, about 13km walk. Beautiful peak with interesting rock formations, remarkable flora. Surefootedness required.

Car connections:

A1 exit "Altlengbach", B19 to" Hainfeld", at the T-junction there take a right into B18(direction" Traisen"), at about 5km past "Hainfeld" take a left at "Rainfeld", it is about 7km to "Kleinzel"l.

Or take A2, exit at "Wöllersdorf", B21 to "Gasthof Kalte Kuchl" (it is about 6km after "Rohr im Gebirge"), take a right there to "Kleinzell" (about 10km from "Kalte Kuchl").

Car sharing would reduce the costs considerabely. We would save the taxi and the train ticket!!

Route:

Kleinzell - Ebenwaldhöhe - cross over Hochstaff (nice view) - Kleinzeller Hinteralm - Ebenwaldhöhe - Kleinzell.

Equipment required:

proper hiking boots, raingear, food (we will have lunch at "Gasthaus Ebenwaldhöhe", snacks for in between recommended), enough to drink.
