Yes, this is a two day hike from Sunday until Monday. The reason for this unusual choice of dates is that it is practically impossible to get a place in the Schiestlhaus (near the summit) on a Saturday night. So, you'll have to take Monday off work if you want to come!

The plan is that either the ascent or descent will be via the wonderful Aflenzer Starizen, but very stable weather is necessary for this.

The hike will only take place if the weather is reasonably good.

Technical requirements :

T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness

Physical requirements :

K3, 7-10 hours / day; up and down

5-8 hours/day depending on route. Altitude difference about 1300m.

Equipment :

Usual equipment for high alpine multi day hiking. See http://www.alpineclubvienna.org/hiking_in_austria/gear_list. Sheet sleeping bag for the hut (mandatory)
