Bulgaria Week - postponed to 2018 on 01 July 2017

*** Update: This trip will not take place this year, but we'll try again next year ***

 

Hristo would be prepared to offer a one week trip to Bulgaria, if there is sufficient interest.

The week would look something like this:

• Saturday - fly to Sofia
• Sunday - one day "warm-up" hike on Sofia's "Hausberg" Vitosha
• Monday-Thursday: Multi-day hike in either the Rila or Pilin mountains, a couple of hours from Sofia.
• Friday - free day to explore Sofia (or buffer day in case of bad weather etc)
• Saturday - return to Vienna

The exact week is flexible - one of the weeks in July. If you are interested, please enter your name on this doodle poll, along with the weeks you would be available. A decision will be taken mid May, as to which week will be offered. Then registration will open until about the end of May.

Return flights to Sofia are available with Austria Airlines for up to around €160. There may also be cheaper flights from Bratislava. Participants will have to book their own flights.

Internal transport within Bulgaria will be arranged by Hristo. Either private cars or public transport, depending on number of participants.
