This is a public transport hike but car drivers/shareres obviously welcome. Departure point of the hike is Preiner Gscheid (train to Payerbach Reichenau, bus to Preiner Gscheid: exact travel arrangements will be released nearer to the event: approximate travel cost for trains & buses for the day for Oebb Vorteilscard holders: 25 Euros). Hiking route for now is: Preiner Gscheid - Schlangenweg- (possibly Predigtstuhl)- Seehuette (lunch break) - Preiner Wand - Otto-Haus- Thoerlweg- Hirschwang. Back to Payerbach Reichenau Station by bus -. I would like to look at the route again and possibly make some changes to it - I will update the trip sheet about two weeks prior to the event: the difficulty grade and length of the trip will stay the same, though. The hike will only take place in good weather conditions.
Train to Payerbach Reichenau. Bus from the station to Preiner Gscheid. (Car drivers may choose to park their cars at Hirschwang and get on the bus there - please make your own arrangements & let us know). Back: By bus from Hirschwang, train from Payerbach to Vienna.
