Moravian loop through vineyards: Bernhardsthal - Lednice - Pavlov - Mikulov - Bernhardsthal. 77 km, 978 m up (that's a very detailed sum; in fact there's one big hill, 200 m up). Here you can see the route on a map: https://mapy.cz/s/1EI9a (just don't be discouraged by the Czech language - the map is really nice; you can see the elevation profile under 'zobrazit vyskovy profil trasy', right-hand panel; hint for the bold ones: you can install the mapy.cz maps on your smartphone). Suitable for both trekking and mountain bikes.
Cost: Einfach-Raus-Radticket for 5 people: € 54 (not valid for Breclav - that's why we need to get off in Bernhardsthal and cycle good 10 km more than initially planned...), food and drinks in Czechia.
Remark: the route is very nice - so nice that some places (Mikulov and Lednice with all their palaces and castles) can be crowded, especially if the weather is fine.
We will go by train to Bernhardsthal - around 1.5h by regional train (R), leaving between 8 and 8:30 from Vienna (see the timetable: http://fahrplan.oebb.at/bin/traininfo.exe/dn/975561/551382/846352/97989/81?ld=21&seqnr=4&ident=f7.02734178.1492796191&date=11.06.2017&station_evaId=8100449&station_type=dep&journeyStartIdx=12&journeyEndIdx=34&backLink=tp&), and arriving at 9:30. Return: from Bernhardsthal at 18:33.
