From the western side from Rainbach/Gries via Blochboden (great panoramic views) to summit Unterberg. (Late) lunch at Unterberg-Schutzhaus. Back another shorter route via Miragraben.
Please contact me on Friday evening, if the hike will take place (weather, snow conditions).

Max. 12 participants.

"Moderate pace":
Pace will be moderate, so it might be for some younger and fitter ones too slow. Of course all of you are welcome but please understand that we should stay together as group.

Technical requirements :

T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness

Physical requirements :

K2, 4-7 hours / day; up and down

Duration in hours and
elevation gain :

4,5 hours, appr. 540m up and down.

Equipment :

Usual winter gear plus snowhoes, gaiters and poles. Hot drink and some snacks.

Transport Details :

Vienna - Südautobahn - Exit Wöllersdorf - Pernitz - Rohr im Gebirge ...
In Pernitz DO NOT follow the junction to the right with a sign post "Unterberg", but continue straight on the main road to Rohr im Gebirge.
Meeting point: 9:00 at Rohr, parking lot of "Nah und Frisch" (on the main road in the center of the village). From there we drive the remaining bit together.
From Vienna center at least 1 1/4 hours.
