Type of event :
Hike, 1 day

Description :

Spring hike in Hohe Wand Nature Park, which represents a wooded plateau whose flora and fauna lie in the transition zone by the Alps and the Pannonian Plain. The rocky walls and cliffs are especially suitable for ferattas and climbing activities. There are also man made attractions - the observation tower, skywalk and panorama terrace (we will visit at least some of them).

Our hike will start and end in Grünbach am Schneeberg. From there, our path leads us to the highest point in the area - Plackles (1132 m). Then the program is: Kleiner Plackles - Gasthof Kleine Kanzel - Haslinger/Gasthof Jagasitz - Gasthof Postl - Skywalk - Hochkogelhaus. From there, we have two options: easier - we go back towards Gasthof Kleine Kanzel and the same way back to the starting point, or we continue towards Hubertushaus, which includes some rocky/exposed parts and ladders. The decision will be made based on the experience and the preference of the participants.

We will make lunch break at some of the huts on the way.
