Description :

A short C/D ferrata an hour from Vienna.
As the ferrata ends on 550m (only 70m heigher then Kahlenberg), snow should be already gone.

As it is a beginning of the season and the ferrata is very short we will focus a little more on a technique, e.g. practice abseiling and try to improve our layback techinique.

This hike is not a good choice for people who have no previous experience with climbing-like activities (climbing, ferrata, more demanding scrambling). If you are such a person, please wait for a simpler ferrata hike.

Technical requirements :

T3, I feel fine in difficult technical conditions and have mountain experience. I can manage to climb up and down without a rope on routes of climbing difficulty UIAA grade 1+

Physical requirements :

K1, 2-4 hours / day; up and down

Approach 0.5h, ferrata 0.5h, descent 0.5h, practising 1h, 250m elevation gain (80m on the ferrata)
