Dear all,
The plan is to go for a full-weekend ski touring in the Gesäuse area.
We will leave Vienna on Friday 19th arround 5 pm. We will drive for 3 hours until Johnsbach town, where we will be accomodated for 2 nights.
On Saturday morning, we will wake up early and head to the mountains for a full day ski tour. There are several posibilities in the area. Therefore, we will choose the route to follow depending on the snow and weather conditions.
On Sunday morning we will make a second tour, probably a bit shorter, as we will be tired from the day before. At 5 pm the latest we will take the car and come back to Vienna, arriving approximately arround 8-9 pm.
The maximum amount of participants will be 7. Experience in ski touring is required for this trip. However, as explained before we will decide on which route to take depending on the snow conditions and the average level of the group.
There is a nice Gasthof (B&B) which is called Kölblwirt (Gasthof website) which we will use as base camp.
